All Things Must Pass Away...

On the day after George Harrison's 5th anniversery of his passing away (Friday, Dec.1, g.c.) my sister, Christina Lee Downer, at the young age of 54 summers, unxepectedly passed to the other side from the effects of bladder cancer, & entered her journey of the long & winding road to dance with our father Steven "Pelican," to George's New Heavenly Band (she was a huge Beatles fan). Well, now she is free of the intense pain she was suffering and we are all telling her to merge with the BRIGHT LIGHT everytime, & avoid the dim lights that lead to lower re-birth...
I wanted to host the open mic nite at the beatnik cafe in joshua tree as a tribute to jim morrison (who helps us to easily 'Break on Thru to the Other Side" with his music), for his birthday dec. 8 which is also the anniversery of john lennon's passing, but now i have to go up to Chico w/my mother to help support Chris's son Loren (a great artist & musician in Chico) with what he's going thru, help him deal w/her belongings & do a memorial with the plethora of friends my sister has there, probably next sat. afternoon...
The greatest thing about my sister Chris, besides her innate spirituality, is her sense of humor & i now see her smiling & laughing everywhere...

I MET SUNNY ONE WINTER'S NIGHT AT THE RANCHO WHEN HE BROUGHT HIS FRIEND SKY SAXON OVER TO JAM WITH ME, DANA, VIC, CAROL ANN, SHANNON, KENNY, ETC. since then, sunny has been there for me a hundred times, conch-us-ly celebrating music, life, dharma...always happy to lend his powerful healing hands, he recently helped monet's love, jonathan, in his time of passing...i send my thoughts to sunny and his sister, chris...merge with the light!! love on...tq
