hi friends-
happy easter...last night at the beatnik was such a
great warm up, i wanted to remind you that tomorrow
night at pappy & harriets is the official release
party for the new kevin stetz cd, 'songs for oxygen,'
which i was so lucky to produce.
("it's going to be a classic," says bingo.**)
(just the other night, a couple of kevin's tracks
turned up on peacenik at the beatnik,*** and they just
jumped out of the speakers and grabbed me before i
even realized what i was hearing...)
it also happens to be the occasion of kevin's 21st
birthday, so it's going to be pretty exciting.
opening for kevin at 7pm, sue, tal & i are singing
together as wooden nickel. we take turns singing
eachothers songs...*º*
a limited number of 'songs for oxygen' will be
available for the first time at pappy's, so pick up a
copy, freshly brewed and made to last.
see you in pioneertown.
love,
ted
p.s. drum roll, please...
* if you don't already know, kevin's cd is not the
only new release in the oven. surprise! monet and i
are expecting a child in late august and now we've
seen the pictures. it's a boy! what better school of
life than this community of joshua tree...thank you
for all your warm thoughts!! attentive baby sitters &
absent-minded professors, inquire within.
** bingo band and i are doing a show at pappy &
harriet's on thursday, april 14. hope y'all come up!!
*** always, love & thanks to the beatnik cafe's
michael & linnea for letting us air our hearts and
souls on their little stage, sending it out to the
ears of the world at www.beatnikradio.com. (every
wednesday, friday saturday & sunday LIVE!)
*º* and all of the above (except for baby), plus many
other luminous players, will join forces for
chuckwalla 2005 , also at pappy's, on friday &
saturday, april 22 & 23.
